Angelvoices
Our Vision

ANGELVOICES is an independent performing arts company specialising in live vocal and theatrical entertainment and events.

Interestingly, I'm often asked whether ANGELVOICES is a religious group. Now, as much as I love a hymn, chant, or cantata, we are not in fact, specialists in the sacred repertoire!

Our main passion here is much broader than any specific genre... it is with the voice and the breathtaking power of the voice to evoke, enchant, inspire and move the listener toward something transcendental. We are exhilarated by the great Bel Canto singers of the past, and work with their legacies very close to our hearts.

However, we select our performance repertoire from all kinds of places... sound tracks to late Romantic opera, momentous choral works to musical theatre favourites, progressive metal to early jazz to contemporary. We love it all! The blessing of being an independent company is that we can select and tailor our projects according to the interests and strengths of members, so we do.

Our People

Irene Sarrinikolaou (Artistic Director)

Irene is a Sydney based Dramatic Soprano, Director, Producer, and Educator, with a performance background in opera and musical theatre. She trains in the Bel Canto tradition with Arax Mansourian, and has previously studied with Reginald Byers, and Dallas Watts.

Since 2005 Irene has been running her own production company called ANGELVOICES which specialises in live vocal and theatrical entertainment. It was formed in 2005 to provide performance opportunities for aspiring producers, directors and performers. Since then ANGELVOICES has produced major outdoor festivals and events including the Strathfield Carols by Candlelight, Victor Trumper Day @ SCG and the Parramatta Australia Day festival. Other activities include co-producing the Verismo Studio season of Pagliacci0, the Renaissance Players Runnymede concerts, the Peoples' Proms, Gabriel the film, and collaborating with other professional singers of opera, musical theatre, world music and jazz.

This year Irene has been working on the third performance season with ANGELVOICES, and has created two productions staged at the Vanguard so far: Quite Continental and Swingin' It.

In 2015, Irene is producing The Plot, a new film opera called Shooting Ghosts, and preparing to sing the principal role in the Sydney premiere of Konstantine Koukias' opera Kimisis.

Daniel Natoli (Assistant Director & Producer)

Daniel is a Sydney-based music producer, audio engineer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, graphic artist and lover of all things creative. Over the past five years, Daniel has dedicated his life to working in the audio industry; taking part in a number of projects from composing film scores to producing and engineering high-profile bands/ensembles at professional studio facilities.

With a degree in Composition & Music Production, and an academic scholarship in Audio Engineering (The Australian Institute of Music), Daniel is moving towards studying a Masters of Design Science (Audio & Acoustics) at The University of Sydney.

Accompanying his technical endeavours, Daniel is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and composer. He is the guitarist and co-founder of the band "Absentia" (alongside his long-time musical partner, Georgia Eyes) and has worked as a music teacher for over five years.

Ultimately, Daniel plans to start his own production studio and work full-time as a freelance engineer, servicing all aspects of the music, audio and entertainment industries.

Georgia Orfanos (Creative Assistant)

Georgia is a Sydney-based vocalist specialising in live performance, session musicianship and vocal tuition. Her journey as a vocalist began at a very young age; trained as a Bel-Canto lyric soprano, Georgia grew up singing Renaissance and early-Classical music. Now, well in to her 20's, she has mastered her technique, allowing her to work with a number of different musical genres.

Georgia is currently the lead singer of the acoustic duet "Absentia" and frequently works as a soloist with the theatrical entertainment company ANGELVOICES. In 2015, Georgia Eyes will be appearing as a vocalist in the theatrical production "Shooting Ghosts".

Alongside her quest for vocal greatness, Georgia is completing her Bachelors Degree majoring in Gender Studies and Music. She plans on furthering her education by completing both a Masters and PhD in her chosen field over the next few years.

Georgia's passion for singing continues to expand her musical horizons. Ultimately, she plans on developing her reputation as a session musician; working on film soundtracks and game scores, as well as appearing as a guest vocalist on commercial releases.
